Weekend fun

Due to my medication session at the hospital Friday we’ve had a quite relaxing weekend. I’ve not felt as tired as earlier times (not counting Friday when I mostly slept once I got back from the hospital) and last night I even went for a short walk. It was a total of 1,27km but I felt like I walked for at least 5! I’m glad I had these two days for taking it easy before work tomorrow.

My brother and father finished the last things with the porch. And I decorated it with Lego figures.

We also meet a friend (former co-worker of mine) and her husband at Domarudden for a little breakfast outing. It started raining a few times but we were lucky and sat at a picnic table under a tree so we didn’t get wet. Before they arrived we tried the outdoor gym 😊

Morning has broken

It was too hot for a walk yesterday so I decided to go up early today and drive to Domarudden, our nearby nature reserve, and enjoy a 2,5 kilometer walk and picnic breakfast. It was not as sunny today as yesterday but still quite nice to be out and about. The good thing with being at Domarudden on a Sunday morning is that you basically got the place for yourself. Just a few other people there and after our walk we found a picnic bench right by the water. A great way to start the day!

207L of extra cold storage

We purchased an extra refrigerator to have in our “closet” under the stairs. We’ve realized that having drinks, soda and beer, beer, and more beer (😉) in our regular refrigerator made it take up too much space that was needed for other stuff plus that our refrigerator stopped being organized. So an extra (beer) refrigerator was needed.

We found one that would fit perfectly under the stairs and still allow us to have space for other things needed to be kept there. The refrigerator has room for 207L so now we can go shopping for more stuff to put in there.

The best part is that our refrigerator in the kitchen now has plenty of space and everything is easily viewable and accessible!

Cold forenoon

After breakfast today we decided to go ut and enjoy the last day of the Christmas holiday with a little excursion in the nearby area.

First we went to a small lake called Solbergasjön where I took some beautiful pictures of the icy lake.

Next we decided to go to Domarudden which is a recreational area/nature reserve close to where we live. They have plenty of activities here both in the summer and during the winter time. They also have a restaurant where we enjoyed waffles for lunch.

This is a great area where we don’t go to often. We really need to change that! We don’t have skates and to tell the truth I’m not even sure how my feet and knees would react to that type of experience but I really want to buy skates and try it out. Next blog post from Domarudden might be me looking like Bambi on ice! 😉
