Yesterday morning I didn’t go to my office, instead 3 others of my consulting co-workers and I drove to Lundsbrunn. A three hour drive from Linköping.

We arrived in Lundsbrunn earlier than scheduled so we sat down while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. In total we were 40 people from the four different sites. It’s not the whole company here, just the division I work in (called Automotive and Industrial RnD).

The afternoon we spent listening to presentations and doing workshops. In the evening it was some time scheduled for the spa and pool area but I was told too late to bring my bathing suit so I took it easy for awhile in my hotel room before heading up to the main house where the dinner would be. 7 others were sitting in the restaurant bar and coffee area already so I joined them and after sometime a guy from the serving staff arrived and informed us that the rest of the group waited for us in the restaurant.

We were served a two course dinner that tasted okay. The boiled potato was not particularly good but the fish and the sauce was fantastic! I only got the menu in Swedish so I’m not going to bother translating it instead I’ll just show photos.

They had a guitarist playing live music in the bar area so some of us stayed in the restaurant after dinner as it was easier to talk there. I don’t know for how long we sat there before our server told us we should go and enjoy coffee and chocolate in the bar. Obviously they wanted to close the restaurant as our table was the only one not cleared yet.

In the bar it was very hard to talk but we tried. At 11 pm I gave up and went to the hotel room.

Now I’m waiting for everyone to meet up for breakfast and then it’s time to go home. I’m going back to Linköping to spend the rest of my weekend there.
