When we arrived at 11.40 am (local time) Crete greeted us with a fantastic weather; sunny, 30 degrees Celsius but quite windy.
We had pre-booked a bus transfer to the hotel through the charter company and after 1 hour and 20 minutes we arrived at our hotel. We checked in, was shown to our room and started unpacking. When I went out on the balcony I noticed that we had a ocean view! An extra bonus as we had only paid for a garden bungalow. Thank you thank you!
We ate late lunch at a restaurant by the pools and ocean. At this point it was so windy that we wondered if we had to hold down our plates and glasses so they wouldn’t blow away! 🙂 We walked around the hotel a little bit and then rested for a while as we started to feel very tired considering we woke up at 3 am in order to fly here–we also picked up Mathias’ sister and her boyfriend on our way to the airport as their flight to Turkey left 30 minutes after our flight.
After our little rest it was time to visit the bar before dinner. I ordered an non-alcoholic beverages that didn’t taste extremely yummy, at least not the kiwi juice, but it looked fantastic!
