After some serious thinking, lots of reading online and today's phone session with my doctor I've decided to try a gluten free diet for a while.
My doctor did not believe it would help at all but said that of course I was free to try it out if I wanted too. I didn't expect him to jump up and down while saying it was a great idea as many doctors seems to think that only the medications will work and not special diets. There are many reports about people that have gotten better and don't need a medications anymore after starting special diets though so I do think it can work. A gluten-fee diet is just one of these options… but if it means that I finally will be able to get rid of my cortisone pills (even if I do need other meds) I'm ready to do it!
