Hot, hot, hot

It's been a very hot and humid week. I started the week with shopping in town with my mother and noticed this familiar guy at Hötorget:

On Tuesday morning I went by train to Gävle in order to visit relatives. I spent 4 days there before going back home Friday evening. While I was away Mathias spent his time studying as he took an online class with the convenient hours of 3pm to 11pm. 😉

In Gävle I visited the memorial and left a sunflower in honor of my grandparents. It was just as bright and cheerful as they were:

My cousin, Tony, and I dined at Church Street which is a American-styled restaurant. As many places in the US they had a Christmas-in-July theme so a christmas tree greeted everyone at the door:

I probably ate the best US-styled dinner I've had in Sweden and that includes my two visits to TGIF here in Stockholm! Unlucky for me I couldn't try their Tex-Mex as most of it was preprepared and then had bell peppers in it so I had to go something more "regular"… chicken fingers and potato skins:

Due to the warm weather this weekend we decided to spend it at my parents place rather than in town as it's always nicer and breezier there. We didn't stay over, instead, we borrowed the car and drove home woke up and went back, but before going back I baked a blueberry pie that I for some reason forgot to take a picture of. Usually I'm pretty good, and annoying, when it comes to taking pictures of food prepared/ordered. 🙂 Mathias was our personal chef this weekend and Saturday he prepared saffron-grilled chicken and Sunday a grilled whole salmon:

And here is my always so charming and wonderful hubby:
