Midsummer

Friday, on Midsummer's Eve, we went to my parents in order to celebrate Midsummer. We were picked up at the train station in Åkersberga and then went to the memorial to lay some flowers and light a candle. After that we went "home" and spent rest of the day there. As I'm quite limited to walking (and standing) we didn't even go to any Midsummer celebration. Here are some pictures from the day:

And, one of the best parts of the day, my mom's midsummer cake:

We spent the night there and on Midsummer day we tried a little excursion to Vaxholm and Rindö:

Back home we prepared dinner, and here is Mathias the grillmaster:

We're hungry! Stop taking pictures and let us eat! 🙂

And this is how yummy my mom's cake is:

It started out with me using a spoon in order to get the rest of the pieces of the cake from the cake knife and the plate, and then someone said "I thought you were going to lick it", and I replied "I'll do it if you take a picture". :)

And this is the view before we went home
yesterday evening:

We borrowed my dad's car to make it easier to get home so we're going back today. Maybe I'll have more view and food pictures for you tomorrow! 🙂
